Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP) held the side meeting on the topic of “Out-of-pocket expenditure and the Quest for Universal Health Coverage: Lessons learned from implementing innovative health financing schemes in the South-East Asia Region” at “Prince Mahidol Award Conference (PMAC) 2018” The meeting showcased experiences from four countries in the Southeast Asia region, namely India, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand.
The representatives from each country shared experience and lessons learned from rolling out health financing schemes to alleviate the impact of Out-of-pocket expenditure (OOPE) along with designing, implementing and evaluating innovative health financing schemes to provide financial protection to their populations.
