During 8th-10th May 2018, HTAsiaLink network members and honorable speakers and invitees convened in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for the 7th HTAsiaLink annual conference under the theme ‘Testing Treatments: strengthening HTA for better healthcare’. With more than 240 participants from Asia-pacific, the UK, Australia, and South Africa, information transfer and exchange was well-garnered.
As always, this conference enables junior health technology assessment (HTA) researchers to expose and gain experience in presenting their research at an international forum and get suggestions for further improvement from global experts from all over the world. Of the 2 tracks of oral presentations, namely the Economic Evaluation track and the Health System Research track, 59 abstracts were presented.
HTAsiaLink is also honoured with outstanding speakers who gave thought-provoking talk during plenary sessions around the theme Testing Treatments: strenghtening research for better healthcare.
